Tulia livestock auction reportThe Tulia Livestock Auction Inc., Tulia, Texas, reported receipts of 3,211 head Nov. 10, compared to 2,676 head last week and 2,920 head last year, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady, instances were $2 lower. Slaughter cows and bulls were $8 to $10 lower. Trade and demand were moderate to good. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 300- to 900-pound feeder steers and heifers. Slaughter cows and bulls made up 6% of the offering, replacement cows 2% and feeders 92%. The feeder supply included 48% steers, 50% heifers and 2% bulls, with nearly 58% of the run over 600 pounds.
