Texhoma livestock salesThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 810 head Nov. 12, compared to 795 head last week and 1,475 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder cattle and calves were steady where tested. Demand was moderate to good for all classes. Fill average to full. Receipts included 56% over 600 pounds and 31% heifers. Slaughter cows were steady, bulls were not well tested. A total of 148 cows and bulls sold with 71% going to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 7 head, 410 to 429 lbs., 123.00 to 131.00 (128.79); 465 to 499 lbs., 113.00 to 115.50 (114.34); 14 head, 530 to 547 lbs., 109.00 to 113.00 (111.84); 20 head, 598 lbs., 102.25; 601 to 639 lbs., 92.00 to 101.00 (97.98) calves; 681 to 696 lbs., 87.50 to 90.00 (87.98) calves; 71 head, 738 lbs., 99.75; 69 head, 808 lbs., 99.00; 10 head, 846 lbs., 82.50 fleshy; 61 head, 855 lbs., 98.00. Medium and large frame 2, 8 head, 340 lbs., 120.00; 2 head, 403 lbs., 116.00; 7 head, 514 lbs., 109.00; 5 head, 628 lbs., 87.50 calves; 7 head, 689 lbs., 92.50 calves; 6 head, 709 lbs., 96.00. Lean, 63 head, 85 to 90% lean, 1000 to 1300 lbs., 39.25 to 43.50; high dressing, 45.00 to 45.50; low dressing, 36.50 to 39.00. Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 to 2, 2 head, 1350 to 2100 lbs., 55.50 to 51.00.
