Ogallala livestock sales

The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 4,100 head Nov. 6, compared to 3,200 head last week and 5,200 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb.

Compared to last week, steers and heifers traded $2 to $9 higher. Demand was good on all weights. Steers accounted for 62% and heifers 38% of the offering, with 25% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 19 head, 301 to 337 lbs., 127.50 to 135.50 (131.52); 363 to 372 lbs., 127.00 to 134.00 (131.63); 402 to 442 lbs., 123.00 to 132.00 (128.74); 464 to 494 lbs., 114.50 to 124.00 (118.03); 18 head, 482 to 484 lbs., 125.00 to 129.50 (127.50) value added; 501 to 527 lbs., 120.00 to 125.25 (122.99); 553 to 598 lbs., 99.50 to 109.00 (104.50); 552 to 590 lbs., 115.00 to 115.50 (115.19) value added; 600 to 645 lbs., 96.00 to 106.00 (100.50); 149 head, 639 lbs., 110.00 value added; 652 to 699 lbs., 95.25 to 103.00 (98.16); 706 to 736 lbs., 94.00 to 96.00 (95.66). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 517 to 544 lbs., 105.00 to 115.50 (110.56).
