New AgriLife Extension agent named for Schleicher County

Texas

Cody J. Bundick will assume duties as the Texas AgriLife Extension Service agent for agriculture and natural resources in Schleicher County effective Dec. 1.

Schleicher County judge, Johnny Griffin and Scott Durham, AgriLife Extension administrator at San Angelo, made the announcement.

Bundick will spend November working in AgriLife Extension's First Step Program in Menard County.

"We're very pleased to have Cody join our AgriLife Extension team here in the West Central District," Durham said. "He was very active in the 4-H program while growing up in Brown County and was also active throughout his academic career at Angelo State University. We feel he will bring that same level of enthusiasm to Schleicher County and to our entire 23-county district."

Bundick received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Angelo State University in 2006 and 2007, respectively. The degrees were in animal science with an emphasis in range and wildlife management.

While attending Angelo State University, he was on the dean's list on four separate occasions. He was also active on the school's livestock judging team and was a 2-year Block and Bridle club member and, in 2007, was the club's graduate student advisor.

Bundick also was a graduate research and teaching assistant at Angelo State University where he taught labs, guided trophy white-tailed deer hunts and helped with the school's livestock operation.
