McCook to host first Farm & Ranch Expo

Nebraska

"Growing Our Communities" is the theme for McCook, Nebraska's first agricultural-oriented trade show. The McCook Farm & Ranch Expo is scheduled for Nov. 19 and 20. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Nov. 19 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 20.

Event Organizer Darren Dale of Star Enterprises announced that McCook's great facilities at Red Willow County Fairgrounds is the ideal place to hold an event such this inaugural show. The Southwest Nebraska town is a retail hub for Western Nebraska and Northwest Kansas.

"This is a great opportunity for commercial vendors and agricultural producers to come together. McCook is in the center of rich agriculture," Dale said.

Show officials anticipate more than 175 vendors from 15 states and Canada to display and demonstrate their products, services and ideas during the two day trade show. In addition to commercial vendors, featured guests at the Expo include Amy Wilson, Miss Rodeo America; Steven Dent, two-time National Final Rodeo qualifier; and Bar C Stock dogs with cattle handling demonstrations.

Miss Rodeo America and Steven Dent are available for autographs at the Expo Nov. 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. CT. Dent is also scheduled to sign autographs on Nov. 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Stock dog demos will be held throughout the day Nov. 20. Live radio broadcasts will originate from the Expo throughout both days by Hometown Family Radio.

Free parking and free admission are available to attendees. More information is available online: www.mccookfarmandranchexpo.net.
