Limousin, Lim-Flex parade in Kansas City

The American Royal's Limousin show was Oct. 29 in Kansas City, Mo. The American Royal is one of the North American Limousin Foundation's four major Medal of Excellence shows.

In the Lim-Flex show, judge Les Wankel, Petersburg, Ill., evaluated 10 females and four bulls. He then sorted 30 Limousin females and eight Limousin bulls.

In the Limousin bull show, EXLR Saturn 040S won the grand champion banner after winning Division 5. Express Ranches, Yukon, Okla., and Tubmill Creek Farms, New Florence, Pa., own the March 2, 2006, son of Carrousels Pure Power.

The reserve grand champion Limousin bull was EXLR Total Impact 054T, the Division 4 champion. The Feb. 3, 2007, son of LESF Asphalt 9N belongs to Express Ranches and Deer Valley Farm, Fayetteville, Tenn.

AUTO Gemini 248T, the winner of Division 3, went on to claim the title of grand champion Limousin female. Cody Heavin, Springfield, Mo., owns the Sept. 10, 2007, daughter of GPFF Blaque Rulon.

EXLR Luvly 036T followed her win in Division 5 by claiming reserve grand champion Limousin female. Michael Mitchell, Mangum, Okla., owns the Feb. 1, 2007, daughter of LESF Asphalt 9N.

Grand champion honors in the Lim-Flex bull show went to EXLR Southpaw 835S, the Division 2 winner and a March 16, 2006, son of LESF Asphalt 9N out of EXAR Scotch Cap 1548. Express Ranches and the Glebe Farm, Charles City, Va., own him.

Magness Land and Cattle, Platteville, Colo., owns the reserve grand champion Lim-Flex bull. MAGS Scotland, a May 10, 2006, son of BR Midland out of MAGS Marquee, also came from Division 2.

AUTO Rebeca 292S came from Division 4 to win grand champion Lim-Flex female. Pinegar Limousin, Springfield, Mo., and Wies Limousin Ranch, Wellsville, Mo., own the Oct. 3, 2006, daughter of LESF Asphalt 9N out of EXLR Rebeca 1019P.

MAGS Tenderhearted claimed reserve grand champion Lim-Flex female for Austen Etherton, Dawson, Ill. The Division 3 winner is a March 4, 2007, daughter of DHVO Deuce 132R out of Thomas Patricia 1897.

Magness Land and Cattle claimed both the Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor honors.

In the juniors' female show, judge Kent Habeger, Burt, Iowa, selected EXLR Luvly 036T--a Feb. 1, 2007, daughter of LESF Asphalt 9N--as grand champion from among 19 entries. Mitchell led her from the Division 3 championship. KRVN Treasure 040T--a March 23, 2007, daughter of GPFF Blaque Rulon--was reserve grand champion and Division 2 champion for Chase Ratliff, Westphalia, Kan.
