Bids higher on Election DayBuying interest in corn, soybeans and wheat were all higher on Election Day as the stock market is also higher, according to the National Grain Market Summary, Nov. 4. Crude oil is sharply today and a lower dollar are all positive for the grain market. Wheat closed 7 to 11 cents higher. Corn traded 8 to 10 cents higher. Soybeans closed 17 to 22 cents higher. In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $6.09, up 11 1/4 cents. Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $5.69, up 11 cents; Minneapolis, $7.16 3/4, up 7 1/2 cents; Portland, $4.75 to $5.30, unchanged to up 30 cents; St. Louis, $3.66, up 11 cents. Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $4.01 to $4.03, up 8 to 10 cents; Minneapolis, $3.53, up 10 cents; southern Iowa, $3.36 to $3.57, up 3 to 10 cents; Omaha, $3.95 to $4.08, up 10 cents. Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $9.34, up 21 cents; Minneapolis, $8.99, up 21 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $8.75 to $8.83, up 17 1/2 to 18 1/2 cents; central Illinois processors, $9.34 to $9.54, up 2 1/2 cents. Kansas City wheat prices Nov. 4, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $6.31 to $6.94, up 11 1/4 cents; 12% protein, $6.84 to $6.99, up 15 1/4 cents; 13% protein, $6.87 to $7.11, up 11 1/4 cents; 14% protein, $6.99 to $7.14, up 11 1/4 cents.
