Woodward livestock sales report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 5,678 head April 25, compared to 5,626 head last week and 5,775 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were $3 to $4 higher. Feeder heifers were $2 to $4 higher. Stocker and steer calves were steady to $3 higher. Heifer calves were $1 to $3 higher. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average to full. The supply included 60% steers, 37% heifers with 78% over 600 pounds.
