Springfield dairy cattle saleThe Springfield Livestock Marketing Center, Springfield, Mo., reported receipts of 765 head April 23, compared to 756 head last month, and 816 head last year, according to the Missouri Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Jefferson City, Mo. Demand was very good on the better quality and moderate on the rest of the offering. The supply was moderate and included 5% springer heifers, 15% bred heifers, 30% open heifers, 6% fresh and milking cows, 8% bred and springer cows, and 5% calves. Holsteins unless noted otherwise.
