Pratt livestock sales reportPratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 4,708 head April 24, compared to 2,961 head last week and 4,556 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared to last week, steers at 300 to 650 pounds were $3 to $9 higher, and 650 to 1000 pounds were $3 to $7 higher. Heifers at 300 to 600 pounds were $1 to $8 higher, and 600 to 950 pounds were $2 to $7 higher. Trade was active and demand was good. Slaughter cows were $1 higher. Slaughter bulls were steady. Receipts included 75% 600 pounds and over, 20% 600 pounds and under, 5% cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 55% steers and 45% heifers.
