Insecticide approved for use on soybeans, cottonBayer CropScience, Research Triangle Park, N.C., now offers Leverage 2.7SE insecticide for use on soybeans. With two modes of action and a broad spectrum of protection, Leverage 2.7 controls many pests, including soybean aphid, bean leaf beetle, Japanese beetle and corn rootworm beetles. Leverage 2.7 is also registered by the Environmental Protection Agency for use in cotton. Leverage 2.7 offers rapid knockdown with long-lasting foliar and in-plant residual activity. Its new mode of action for foliar soybean insect control offers additional resistance-management. Cotton growers can use Leverage 2.7 to control mid- and late-season insects such as plant bugs, stink bugs, bollworms and other lepidopterous pests. Leverage 2.7 uses Stress Shield technology that protects the plant from environmental stresses that reduce plant vigor and yield. It offers surface and translaminar activity to protect both upper and lower sides of leaves.
