Apache livestock sales reportStockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 532 head April 25, compared to 354 head last year, according to 330 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, slaughter cows were steady to $1 higher. Slaughter bulls were $1 to $2 higher. Packer demand was good but many cows returned to the country. The total supply included a consignment of fancy Brangus pairs with calves out of Angus and Herford bulls. These sold to very good demand. A total of 400 cows and bulls sold with 32% going to packers. Slaughter cows: Breakers, 22 head, 75 to 80% lean, 1000 to 1525 lbs., 54.50 to 58.00; high dressing, 58.00 to 60.50; low dressing, 51.50 to 53.00. Boners, 24 head, 80 to 85% lean, 1000 to 1475 lbs., 54.00 to 57.50; high dressing, 58.50 to 62.00; low dressing, 50.00 to 52.50. Lean, 47 head, 85 to 90% lean, 1000 to 1400 lbs., 52.00 to 54.50; high dressing, 55.00 to 57.00; low dressing, 47.50 to 52.50. Light, 11 head, 80 to 90% lean, 775 to 950 lbs., 48.00 to 52.50; high dressing, 55.00 to 56.50; low dressing, 41.00 to 47.50. Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1 to 2, 15 head, 1300 to 2300 lbs., 66.00 to 70.00; high dressing, 69.50 to 73.00; low dressing, 62.50 to 64.00; very high dressing, 75.00. Replacement cows: Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 3 to 6 years old, 1050 to 1375 lbs., 7 to 8 months bred, high black 1025.00 to 1035.00; 4 to 6 years old, 1000 to 1300 lbs., 6 to 8 months bred, average quality 800.00 to 930.00; 4 to 6 years old, 1000 to 1075 lbs., 2 to 4 months bred, average quality 700.00 to 775.00; 7 to 8 years old, 1050 to 1300 lbs., 5 to 7 months bred, average quality 760.00 to 860.00; 9 to 10 years old, 1000 to 1225 lbs., 5 to 7 months bred, average quality 600.00 to 735.00; 10 years old, 875 to 1000 lbs., 7 to 8 months bred, low quality 550.00 to 585.00. Pairs: Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 2 to 3 years old, 950 to 1000 lbs., with 100- to 175-lb. calves, high black 1250.00 to 1345.00; 4 years old, 925 to 1075 lbs., with 150- to 200-lb. calves, high black 1385.00 to 1530.00; 5 to 6 years old, 950 to 1100 lbs., with 75- to 175-lb. calves, high black 1250.00 to 1375.00; 6 to 8 years old, 950 to 1200 lbs., with 150- to 250-lb. calves, low to average quality 875.00 to 910.00.
