Ada livestock sales reportThe Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 1,000 head April 23, compared to 1,150 head last week and 1,274 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $3 higher. Feeder heifers were steady. Quality and weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were medium. Demand was good on all classes. The supply included 43% heifer and 19% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 6 head, 375 to 378 lbs., 129.50 to 132.00 (129.01); 14 head, 453 to 478 lbs., 123.00 to 125.00 (123.63); 9 head, 501 to 503 lbs., 115.00; 14 head, 552 to 560 lbs., 110.00 to 114.00 (112.08); 9 head, 638 to 648 lbs., 105.50 to 108.00 (105.78); 16 head, 753 to 785 lbs., 97.50 to 104.25 (103.81).
