Fair manager named 2008 Friend of 4-HColorado Chris Wiseman, General Manager for the Colorado State Fair, was chosen by the Colorado Association of Extension 4-H Agents as the 2008 Friend of 4-H. The Friend of 4-H Award recognizes an individual who provides continual, dedicated support to the Colorado 4-H program. Wiseman was presented the Friend of 4-H Award at the annual CAE4-HA Spring Conference Awards Banquet in Estes Park on April 23. Wiseman's support of the Colorado 4-H program can be seen through his cooperation with and encouragement of the 4-H agents, members and leaders. He is always looking for ways to expand and enhance the 4-H experience through the 4-H motto--to Make the Best Better. Working with 4-H agents from around the state, Wiseman is always willing to listen to concerns, attend meetings, offer ideas for venues and find ways to make the fair experience great for everyone involved. His dedication to building a strong relationship between 4-H and the Colorado State Fair is admirable. Wiseman leads by example and is always open to suggestions. His ability to think outside of the box has allowed the Colorado 4-H program to find new ways to improve how 4-H is viewed at the State Fair. He is always thinking about the most important part of 4-H--the Youth!
