Clovis livestock sales report

The Clovis Livestock Auction, Clovis, N.M., reported estimated receipts of 2,500 head May 21, according to the USDA-New Mexico Department of Agriculture Market News , Clovis, N.M.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $1 higher, most advance under 600 pounds. Heifers under 500 pounds were $1 to $3 higher, most advance on 300 to 400 pounds.

Steers: Medium and large frame 1: 200 to 300 lbs., 146.00 to 147.00; few 400 to 450 lbs., 126.50; 650 to 700 lbs., 109.50 to 112.50. Medium and large frame 1 and 2, package, 232 lbs., 146.00; package, 295 lbs., 133.50; 350 to 400 lbs., 128.00 to 136.00; 400 to 500 lbs., 123.75 to 130.50; 500 to 600 lbs., 118.00 to 124.00; 600 to 700 lbs., 109.00 to 114.00; package, 852 lbs., 98.75. Medium and large frame 2, 200 to 300 lbs., 126.00 to 135.00; 350 to 400 lbs., 116.00 to 124.00; 400 to 500 lbs., 115.00 to 128.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 118.50 to 125.00; ind 655 lbs., 108.50.

Heifers: Medium and large frame 1, package, 256 lbs., 118.00; lot 379 lbs., 114.75; 400 to 500 lbs., 110.50 to 113.25; 500 to 600 lbs., 106.25 to 109.50; 600 to 700 lbs., 96.00 to 104.00.
