CLA annual convention set June 26 and 27Colorado The Colorado Livestock Association will host its annual convention June 26 and 27 at the Marriott Denver Tech Center. The convention will begin with a presentation from Jolene Brown, June 26. Brown will guide a group of panelists to discuss "The Facts of Life: When Business and Family Collide." Steve Hutchins with Hutchins and Stiff, Cliff Polk with Rocky Mountain Financial Group, and Lee Johnson with Clifton and Gunderson, will be the experts on the panel. Our most popular event, Casino Night, will return the evening of June 26. Attendees, June 27, will be treated to breakfast, followed by each council (Feeder, Dairy, Producer, Swine and Industry Partner) holding their annual meetings and council elections. Mid-morning, Dr. Lowell Catlett will give a fascinating presentation on "Tomorrows Agriculture: Six Trends You Can't Afford to Miss." The afternoon will continue with a CLA Board Meeting and Annual Membership Meeting where the CLA membership will vote on new association leadership and change association policy. The day will wrap up with a wonderful reception for our past presidents, followed by a banquet to welcome the association's new president; where, once again, Dr. Lowell Catlett will enlighten the group as to "Why Fear Fails and Actions Triumph." Registration as well as additional information is available on CLA's website www.coloradolivestock.org. 5/26/08 Date: 5/21/08
