Apache cattle sales report

Stockman's Livestock, Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 2,807 head May 15, compared to 1,703 last week and 3,500 last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week feeder steers and heifers were $1 to $2 higher, with those at 900 pounds selling $1 to $3 higher. Steer and heifer calves were $1 to $2 higher. Demand was moderate to good. Receipts consisted of 78 percent over 600 pounds and 44 percent heifers.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 15 head, 360 to 398 lbs., 124.00 to 149.00 (136.45); 14 head, 428 to 444 lbs., 120.50 to 122.00 (120.81); 10 head, 528 to 544 lbs., 119.00 to 121.00 (120.21); 10 head, 565 to 585 lbs., 117.00 to 120.00 (118.47); 634 to 638 lbs., 114.25 to 117.50 (115.28); 713 to 734 lbs., 109.25 to 110.50 (109.66); 754 to 792 lbs., 106.25 to 112.50 (108.70); 810 to 842 lbs., 104.00 to 108.50 (105.56); 6 head, 833 lbs., 101.25 Fleshy; 852 to 878 lbs., 101.85 to 104.85 (102.41); 904 to 949 lbs., 96.00 to 101.10 (98.82); 42 head, 957 to 973 lbs., 96.00.
