Waynoka FFA member wins state reporter competitionOklahoma On April 30 at the 82nd annual Oklahoma State FFA Convention, Danielle Litzenburger of the Waynoka FFA Chapter won the prestigious State FFA Reporter competition. The chapter reporter contest is designed to develop skills that are important for students working with public relations activities for their local FFA chapter. Litzenburger won the contest based on her ability to keep the surrounding areas aware of the Waynoka FFA Chapter activities. Tulsa World Publishing Co., and Oklahoma Rep. Mike Jackson sponsor the chapter reporter contest on the state level. Danielle is the daughter of David and Susan Litzenbuger of Waynoka, Okla. Other Waynoka FFA members who were recognized on the state level were Clark Bixler and Lacey Barker. They were recognized for receiving a WLC scholarship. Washington Leadership Conference is held in Washington, D.C., where students attending are challenged to take their own leadership to the next level by teaching them how to tackle problems on the local level, build relationships with other people, and developing good character. Bixler also received third place in the state public speaking contest with his speech about the farm bill. Bixler's speech was entered in the ag policy division and covered several subjects on the farm bill--one being how we don't need to make the same mistakes on the new farm bill that we have in the past. 5/19/08 Date: 5/15/08 Advertisement
