Texhoma cattle sales reportThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 940 head May 14, compared to 650 head last week and 1,575 head last week, according to the USDA to Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder cattle and calves were not well tested. Demand was good for all classes, though supplies were light. Weigh-ups were average. The supply included 65% steers, 2% heifers with 74% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were $2 to $3 higher. Slaughter bulls were $3 higher. A total of 343 cows and bulls sold with 23% going to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 9 head, 514 lbs., 120.50; 19 head, 593 lbs., 118.25; 734 to 746 lbs., 108.00 to 111.50 (109.37); 52 head, 810 lbs., 111.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 8 head, 701 lbs., 107.25; 24 head, 780 lbs., 105.00.
