Ogallala livestock salesThe Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 1,500 head May 7, compared to 2,000 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. There were no comparison to last week, due to no feeder sale. Demand was good on all weights. The offering included 77% steers, and 23% heifers 23%, with 90% over 600 pounds. 90% of the offering today. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 4 head, 440 lbs., 143.00; 12 head, 458 to 494 lbs., 132.00 to 139.00 (135.63); 11 head, 500 lbs., 141.00; 553 to 572 lbs., 128.50 to 135.00 (130.34); 6 head, 616 lbs., 125.00; 27 head, 651 lbs., 117.00; 714 to 736 lbs., 110.00 to 115.50 (114.66); 801 to 807 lbs., 106.25 to 109.35 (108.48); 875 to 886 lbs., 101.75 to 103.50 (102.18); 903 to 932 lbs., 99.00 to 100.85 (100.33).
