Master gardeners host plant saleColorado Colorado Master Gardeners of Weld County will sponsor their first annual plant sale on Friday, May 9, from noon to 6 p.m. at St. Michael's Town Square to raise funds for horticulture education programs in the county. St. Michael's is located just off 65th Avenue and Highway 34 Bypass; the sale booth will be set up by the flag pole. The sale will include pots and hanging baskets of colorful annuals and perennials just in time for Mother's Day weekend. There will be a gardening and horticulture information table and master gardeners will be on hand to answer questions. The Master Gardeners Program is part of Colorado State University Extension in Weld County which provides unbiased, research-based information about consumer and family issues, gardening, natural resources, agriculture and 4-H youth development. As part of a nation-wide system, Extension brings the research and resources of the university to the community. In Weld County, the Extension office is located in Island Grove Park at 525 N. 15th Ave., Greeley.
