Lexington cattle sales

The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 1,440 head April 25, compared to 1,150 head last week, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb.

There was no comparison to last week, due to too few comparable offerings. Steers accounted for 64% and heifers 36% of the total offerings, with 72% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 7 head, 432 lbs., 127.50; 451 to 463 lbs., 120.00 to 130.00 (128.05); 508 to 523 lbs., 117.50 to 127.25 (125.93); 10 head, 550 to 567 lbs., 107.50 to 114.00 (110.80); 603 to 643 lbs., 107.50 to 115.50 (112.78); 659 to 678 lbs., 114.85 to 115.50 (114.97); 712 to 744 lbs., 105.00 to 109.00 (107.70); 11 head, 763 lbs., 105.00; 806 to 835 lbs., 105.50 to 106.00 (105.87). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 7 head, 462 lbs., 110.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 413 lbs., 113.50; 9 head, 483 lbs., 105.00; 5 head, 511 lbs., 105.00; 551 to 570 lbs., 97.75 to 102.00 (100.30); 15 head, 610 to 627 lbs., 95.00 to 100.25 (97.49); 17 head, 691 lbs., 100.00; 704 to 735 lbs., 93.25 to 99.75 (97.81); 15 head, 715 lbs., 105.50 value added; 23 head, 795 lbs., 93.50; 16 head, 826 lbs., 98.00; 84 head, 874 lbs., 91.75.
