High Plains slaughter news

High Plains weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending May 11 totaled 187,678 head, compared to 204,557 head last week and 226,270 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo.

The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.
