Denison feeder cattle saleThe Denison Feeder Cattle Auction, Denison, Iowa, reported receipts of 2,890 head May 8, compared to 2,789 head last year, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was a special feeder cattle sale. A nice rain had a large crowd on the seats. The sale featured a string of source verified cattle. The quality was very good and the weighing condition was in the buyers' favors. No comparisons were available as there was no sale last week, but a higher market was noted. Receipts included 89% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 48% heifers and 52% steers.
