Apache livestock sales reportThe Stockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 1,703 head May 8, compared to 2,370 head last week and 2,857 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $2 higher. Feeder heifers were steady. Steer and heifer calves were lightly tested and steady. Demand again very good for feeder cattle with better action on heavier weights. Receipts were somewhat limited due to heavy rains. Receipts consisted of 82% over 600 pounds and 39% heifers.
