KCA board elects new officers

Kansas

At a recent meeting of the Kansas Cattlemen's Association Board, The Board of Directors elected David Pfrang, as President. Pfrang is the immediate past KCA vice president and has previously held the title of treasurer. Pfrang is a lifetime resident of Nemaha county where he runs a farming and ranching operation. Pfrang Farms has been in business for five generations.

"David has been with KCA from the start. He and his family have been committed to the issues of KCA and R-CALF, and he is going to be an outstanding president. His passion for the industry and helping others is second to none," stated KCA Board Director, Mike Schultz.

"KCA is a grass roots organization and continues to be directed by the membership. I am very proud of that plus the fact that KCA's goal is to bring productivity back to the producer, rural America and ultimately the family farm. It hurts me to go across Kansas and see the abandoned homesteads and the empty lots, knowing that another family farm is gone," said Pfrang.

The Board elected Lee Robbins of Yates Center as Vice President, and Daryl Larson of McPherson was re-elected for his second term as Secretary/Treasurer.

"Lee is very active, interested, and involved in the services that KCA provides to our members. He is eager to take the responsibility of vice president and will be effective in leading the organization to meet the needs of the members," remarked immediate past President, Ken Winter.

Regarding Larson, Schultz declared, "The man is meticulous and his leadership brings a lot of experience and expertise to the table."

Kansas Cattlemen's Association welcomes its new and returning officers and Board Members and looks forward to another successful year.
