Ada livestock sales reportThe Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 1,030 head April 30, compared to 1,365 head last week and 1,275 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady. Demand was good on all classes. Quality and weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were medium to fleshy. The supply included 46% heifers and 25% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 9 head, 352 to 376 lbs., 133.00 to 135.00 (133.64); 6 head, 410 to 423 lbs., 124.00 to 127.00 (126.51); 18 head, 453 to 473 lbs., 117.00 to 118.25 (117.41); 17 head, 519 to 525 lbs., 111.00 to 117.00 (114.09); 16 head, 616 to 645 lbs., 105.50 to 108.25 (106.91); 7 head, 720 to 745 lbs., 102.00 to 106.00 (104.83); 10 head, 781 to 798 lbs., 98.00 to 101.25 (100.59).
