Aberdeen cattle sales reportThe Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 4,810 head May 7, compared to 6,002 head last week, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $2 higher. Demand was good, with a large attendance. Many of the offerings sold in load lots. Steers comprised 50% of the run, heifers 50%, with 95% over 600 pounds.
