South Central direct sheepThe South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending March 21, reported receipts of 100 feeder lambs and 200 slaughter lambs, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas. There were no recent comparisons on feeder lambs Trading was slow, demand was moderate. Available lambs remain limited. There were no slaughter ewes, or slaughter meat goats. Replacement ewes were not tested. Rain throughout most of the area hampered trade. Feeder lambs: Texas, 100 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, shorn old crop 80 lbs., 110.00. Slaughter lambs: Texas, 200 head, Good and Choice 1 to 2, hair lambs 65 lbs., 110.00. 3/31/08 Date: 3/27/08
