OKC livestock sales reportThe OKC West Livestock Market Inc., El Reno, Okla., reported receipts of 4,820 head March 26, compared to 3,025 head last week and 2,614 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $1 higher. Steer calves, heifer calves, and stocker cattle were $1 to $4 higher than last week's limited test. Demand was good for grazing type cattle and moderate for feeders. The supply included 73% over 600 lbs., and 56% heifers. A total of 200 head of cows and bulls sold with 52% going to packers Slaughter cows and bulls steady to firm compared to last week's light test. Packer demand was moderate to good.
