In other agribusiness news....AGCO Application Equipment, a division of AGCO Corporation, announced Foley Equipment Company, Wichita, Kan., as the representative for Ag-Chem branded products in Kansas. Foley will now provide custom applicators and innovative growers in the region with a one-stop source for RoGator and TerraGator application equipment sales, support and related spraying accessories. Greg Stapleton, Ph.D., senior service representative for BASF, was recently awarded the Distinguished Service Award for Industry at the Southern Weed Science Society (SWSS) annual meeting in Jacksonville, Fla. Conklin Company, Inc., Kansas City, Mo., welcomed Pam Fretwell, past President of the National Association of Farm Broadcasters for 2006-2007, as corporate spokesperson for its Agriculture Division. Fretwell will lead public relations and media development training. Certified Hereford Beef, (CHB) LLC, Kansas City, Mo., has hired Heidi Tribbett, Sterling, Colo., to assist with the Hereford Verified program. Tribbett will help beef producers enrolling cattle in the program and send out carcass data once the animals have been harvested. She will also have the responsibility for managing the www.HerfNet.com commercial Web-site listing that connects buyers and sellers of Hereford and Hereford cross feeder cattle. The American Hereford Association (AHA) and Hereford World, Kansas City, Mo., has hired Adam Cotton, Wichita, Kan., as the Southwest region field representative. Fontanelle has hired Gabe Hardman as a Regional Sales Agronomist. Hardman will coer the southwestern area, including Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado and western Nebraska. He will be based in Hays, Kan. David L. Stamp has been named National Sales Manager at NC+ Hybrids, Lincoln, Neb.. Stamp's responsibilities will include managing all sales and marketing activity and overseeing field staff. 3/31/08
