Aberdeen cattle sales report

The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 4,435 head March 26, compared to 5,168 head last week and 5,130 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to last week, feeder steers sold steady to $4 higher. Heifers sold $2 to $4 higher. Demand and attendance was good. Steers comprised 46% of the run, heifers comprised 54% with 88% over 600 pounds.
