Tulsa livestock sales reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 1,741 head Feb. 25, compared to 605 head last week and 1,821 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, stocker and feeder steers were steady to $2 higher. Stocker and feeder heifers were mostly steady. There was good demand on better cattle, with good attendance of buyers. Weather conditions improved across much of the state which gave cattlemen access to pens and pastures. Receipts were comprised of 44% steers, 47% heifers, 10% bulls, with 32% of feeder cattle over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. A total of 152 cows and bulls sold with 66% going to packers.
