Texhoma livestock salesThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 2,425 head Feb. 27, compared to 1,730 head last week and 1,475 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady. Feeder heifers were $1 to $2 higher. Steer and heifer calves were steady. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average. The supply included 44% steers, 55% heifers with 89% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. A total of 63 cows and bulls sold with 69% going to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 410 lbs., 131.00; 19 head, 472 to 496 lbs., 124.00 to 131.25 (130.52); 10 head, 537 lbs., 124.25; 33 head, 567 lbs., 126.00; 607 to 641 lbs., 110.25 to 116.00 (113.69); 38 head, 669 lbs., 112.00 to 113.00 (112.34); 740 to 749 lbs., 106.50 to 107.25 (107.08); 750 to 788 lbs., 103.00 to 106.75 (105.82); 816 to 833 lbs., 99.60 to 102.50 ( 99.84).
