Dunlap cattle auction reportThe Dunlap Livestock Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, Iowa, reported receipts of 968 head Feb. 22, compared to 3,199 head last week and 2,287 head last year, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was a special all class feeder cattle sale. Demand was moderate. A small crowd was on hand for a light run of feeder cattle. No comparisons as last two weeks' sales were preconditioned. Receipts included 82% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 62% feeder heifers and 38% feeder steers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 3 head, 443 lbs., 128.00; 13 head, 533 lbs., 117.25; 11 head, 570 lbs., 120.00; 619 to 623 lbs., 113.50 to 117.00 (115.54) calves; 663 to 681 lbs., 108.50 to 112.00 (109.91) calves; 703 to 742 lbs., 104.50 to 109.75 (107.57); 5 head, 742 lbs., 99.50 full; 779 to 782 lbs., 101.25 to 102.60 (102.27); 68 head, 904 lbs., 94.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 16 head, 746 lbs., 102.10; 11 head, 821 lbs., 94.25. Feeder Holstein steers: Large frame 3, 5 head, 401 lbs., 73.00; 4 head, 500 lbs., 71.00.
