Tulsa livestock sales reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 1,995 head March 17, compared to 2,435 head last week and 3,058 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder cattle and calves were $1 to $2 lower in a very light test. All classes of cattle had a light test of good quality offerings. Weigh-ups were average to full. Demand for all classes of cattle was moderate. The supply included 69% steers, 27% heifers, 3.5% bulls and 8% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to a $1 lower. A total of 229 cows and bulls sold with 60% going to packers.
