Texhoma cattle sales reportThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 1,975 head March 19, compared to 4,423 head last week and 2,353 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $1 lower. Steer and heifer calves were not well tested. Demand was moderate for all classes. Fill was average. The supply included 49% steers, 49% heifers with 83% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. A total of 134 cows and bulls sold with 71% going to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 453 lbs., 130.00; 569 to 585 lbs., 112.00 to 115.00 (113.11); 612 to 628 lbs., 107.25 to 109.00 (107.90); 8 head, 651 lbs., 106.50; 763 to 780 lbs., 99.25 to 100.00 ( 99.75; 802 to 812 lbs., 95.25 to 96.00 (95.38); 905 to 919 lbs., 89.25 to 90.00 (89.37). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 52 head, 593 lbs., 110.85; 702 to 705 lbs., 102.50 to 102.75 (102.59). Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1, 6 head, 390 lbs., 125.50; 17 head, 410 lbs., 119.50. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 373 lbs., 114.50; 12 head, 425 to 439 lbs., 108.50 to 110.00 (109.11); 17 head, 500 to 501 lbs., 102.50 to 103.50 (103.09); 19 head, 550 lbs., 98.00 to 102.50 (99.89); 636 to 646 lbs., 97.00 to 97.50 (97.19); 650 to 696 lbs., 93.50 to 96.75 (94.00); 702 to 734 lbs., 93.50 to 94.75 (94.63); 755 to 785 lbs., 90.00 to 94.00 (92.99); 27 head, 804 lbs., 89.00; 877 to 895 lbs., 83.00 to 84.75 (84.52) fleshy; 23 head, 908 lbs., 84.00.
