Dalhart livestock sales reportThe Cattleman's Livestock Auction, Dalhart, Texas, reported receipts of 3,835 head March 13, compared to 2,137 head last week and 3,482 head last year, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture Market News-USDA Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $2 lower. Slaughter cows were weak to $2 lower. Slaughter bulls were steady to $1 higher. Trade and demand were moderate. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 300- to 800-pound feeder steers and heifers. Slaughter cows made up 10% of the offering, slaughter bulls 1%, replacement cows 2% and feeders 87%. The feeder supply included 58% steers and 42% heifers, with nearly 45% over 600 pounds.
