Colorado feeder cattle sale

The Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo., March 14, reported receipts of 7,960 head, compared o 7,750 head last week and 9,160 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo.

Compared to last week, steer calves were steady to $2 higher, with the bulk of the increase being for steers weighing over 400 pounds suitable for grass. Heifer calves were mostly steady to $1 higher. Yearling steers and heifers sold steady to $2 lower. Demand was moderate for weights over 700 pounds were moderate to good for weights under 700 pounds, with the best demand on grass ready stockers.
