Apache cattle sales report

Stockman's Livestock In., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 4,218 head March 15, compared to 3,038 head last week and 3,917 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, all classes of feeder cattle and calves were steady. Weigh-ups were average to full. Demand for all classes of cattle ws moderate to good. The supply included 69% steers, 27% heifers, 3.5% bulls and 8% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were steady to $1 lower. Slaughter bulls were steady. A total of 439 cows and bulls sold with 55% going to packers.
