Ada livestock sales reportThe Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 2,115 head March 13, compared to 1,075 head last week and 1,450 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady. Weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were thin to fleshy. Demand was good on all classes. The supply included 44% heifers and 28% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to $2 higher. A total of 500 cows and bulls sold with 25% going to packers.
