Aberdeen cattle sales report

The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 5,163 head March 19, compared to 5,902 head last week and 6,094 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to last week, feeder steers sold steady to $2 higher. Heifers sold steady to $4 lower. Demand was moderate, with a good attendance. Steers comprised 67% of run, heifers, 33%, with 89% of the supply over 600 pounds.
