24th annual SW Oklahoma Farm and Home Expo April 5 and 6Oklahoma Oklahoma's largest free farm and home show rolls into Elk City April 5 and 6. Products and services in farming, ranching, home and garden will be on display at the 24th Annual Southwest Farm and Home Expo at the Civic Center in Elk City, Okla. More than 100 displays will showcase the latest in farm and livestock equipment and lawn and garden supplies. Several special events are scheduled for this year's show including the FFA Ag Mechanics Show, Antique Tractor Pull, Christian Artists Talent Show and the All Breed Bull Sale which draws people from all over Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas. The Bull Sale will feature some of the top breeders in Oklahoma and Texas. Bulls will range from yearlings to two year olds. There will be an excellent selection of big stout bulls ready for your farm or ranch needs. Kicking off events April 5 is the annual Legislative Breakfast sponsored by American Farmers and Ranchers at 8 a.m. Oklahoma legislators will speak about current issues and bills in agriculture that affect thousands of rural Oklahoma farmers. The Elk City Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the SW Farm and Home Expo, prides itself on promoting education in agriculture. Every year they award scholarships to graduating seniors to further their education in the field of agriculture. "This year's show is going to be the best yet," said Randy Smith, Expo Chairman. "We have exhibitors that really take pride in their products and services and that help put our show above the rest." Hours for the Southwest Farm and Home Expo are April 5 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and April 6 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
