Woodward livestock sales report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 9,991 head March 7, compared to 13,609 head last week and 10,950 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $2 lower, most decline on 8 weights. Feeder heifers were $1 to $2 lower. Steer calves were $1 to $2 higher. Heifer calves were steady to $1 lower. Demand was moderate for all classes. Fill was average to full, few gaunt. The supply included 60% steers, 38% heifers with 84% over 600 pounds.
