Marc Johnson, dean of CSU's College of Agricultural Sciences, heading to Nevada-Reno

Colorado

Marc Johnson, dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences at Colorado State University since 2003, will leave the university to become executive vice president and provost at the University of Nevada-Reno.

Johnson said he expects to start his new position on June 1. CSU Provost and Senior Executive Vice President Tony Frank thanked Johnson for his service and said details about a national search process for Johnson's successor are being finalized.

"Colorado State University recognizes the deep roots and contemporary importance of our university's relationship with the agricultural industry and rural Colorado," Frank said. "Dean Johnson has built upon a solid foundation and helped us improve our responsiveness to these communities. The university is fully committed to the pathway of continued improvement and excellence for the College of Agricultural Sciences as we search for the next leader of the college and I'll be discussing the search with college leadership and our constituents as we move forward."
