Lexington livestock salesThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 2,400 head March 7, compared to 3,100 head last week and 2,400 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, steers and heifers trended steady to $3 lower. Demand was moderate to good and trading moderately active. Receipts consisted of 49% steers and 51% heifers with 59% of the total feeder cattle receipts weighing over 600 pounds.
