Dunlap feeder cattle saleThe Dunlap Livestock Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, reported receipts of 1,630 head March 7, compared to 968 head two weeks ago, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was a special all class feeder cattle sale. Demand was moderate. There was a good crowd on hand for a good run of feeder cattle. The trend compared to two weeks ago was $1 to $1.25 lower on the lighter steer calves and $4 to $6 lower on the heavier steer calves, steady to $1 lower on the lighter heifer calves and $2 to $4 lower on the heavier heifer calves. The receipts included 51% steers and 49% heifers, with 69% feeder cattle over 600 pounds.
