Apache cattle sales reportStockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 3,038 head March 8, compared to 7,013 head last week and 4,692 head last year, according to the USDA to Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were $1 to $2 lower. Feeder heifers were steady to $2 lower. Steer and heifer calves were $1 to $2 lower. Weigh-ups were average to gaunt. Demand for all classes of cattle was moderate to good. The supply included 55% steers, 44% heifers, 7% bulls and 79% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were $1 to $2 lower. A total of 280 cows and bulls sold with 60% going to packers.
