Annual 4-H Photography Workshop April 26 and 27

Nebraska

The fourth annual Spring Photography Workshop April 26 and 27 at the Nebraska State 4-H Camp near Halsey will feature four seasoned photographers who will share their expertise with participants of varied ages and levels of photographic experience.

Speakers include Jeff Beierman, former Associated Press and Fremont Tribute photographer, who has spent the last 14 years with the Omaha World Herald; Randy Hampton, photography consultant, digital photography teacher and retired Lincoln Journal Star photojournalist; award winning photojournalist Brad Norton of the Kearney Hub; and former combat photojournalist Tim O'Neill.

Classroom demonstrations and field trips into the Nebraska National Forest and a working cattle ranch will cover basic photography, digital photography, outdoor and nature, sports basics, portraiture and digital painting.

Participants age 15-adult are welcome to attend and should bring their camera and other photography supplies in addition to overnight gear, bedding, winter clothing, flashlight and personal needs. Meals, snacks and lodging are provided.

Check-in is April 26 is at 9 a.m., and the workshop will conclude at 3 p.m., April 27. Participants who would like to arrive on April 25 may do so after 5 p.m., and will be provided a continental breakfast and lodging for an additional $20.
