Watertown livestock salesThe South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 2,030 head March 5, compared to 1,980 head last week and 1,425 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Feeder heifers at 700 pounds and lighter were steady to $1 higher. Feeder steers at 700 pounds and lighter were $3 to $4 lower. Feeders over 700 pounds were $4 to $5 lower, while corn prices continue going higher. Feeder steers made up 72% of the run, feeder heifers made up 28%, with 93% over 600 pounds.
